025 Half Rectangle Triangles mrs becker

I liked this striking quilt, but I wanted a rectangular quilt....
I made HRTs (half rectangle triangles).

A bit of a learning curve.

I forgot to take a picture of the backing....

Juki Cleaning

Cleaning my Juki!
Who knew you could take the bottom off,
simply by removing the screws?

Before & After.
I vacuumed and brushed out the whole underside; put the bottom back on...and done!

023 Christmas Tree Quilt

For our Christmas, I made a tree quilt.
DH designed it; I created it.
using only 2" squares.

This is how it began,  stacks of little squares.

Puzzling??

I needed to visualize the colours together.

Up onto the design wall....

 A close-up of the star...

The Star& a couple of candles.

Done!
We Wish You all a
Merry Christmas!!

Molly the rag Dolly ariana

Molly....that's just the name I gave her
She's for my niece's daughter

Here she is - before
My first rag doll...arms are way too thin
a neck like a crane
funny she's got mary janes on,
but i forgot to give her hands

Morris said she was fine just the way she was but...

After re-constructive surgery
she's got musical hands
shorter neck, and a bit wider tummy
to fit the size of her head
Funky Hair!!
the eyes & mouth are from
my Mother's embroidery floss

Doll Blanket
196 squares plus the sashing & border

 Mattress for the doll bed

Having a moment in the sun
A Girls gotta have Gucci's
Inside.... so much more civilized!!

Kitten Holster Morris

We didn't want a "flat kitty"....
kittens somehow 'know'
how to get out of regular harnesses......
I needed a better solution
luckily i found a place that sells "kitten holsters"....
so i created my own
Morris now has his very own holster
and he even helped in the making of it

012 ~ 019 Kids Kids & More Kids!!! marcela / rollin

In May we found out that we'd be
making a trip to Manitoba in early October.
Since we have family there
I decided to get busy and make each of the 8 the kids a quilt!

I really wanted to take a "washline" photo before
I parted with them.

The last stitch was done the evening before
I flew out..talk about pressure??

Here's all the bindings.

(fay 48x65")
Pink Fence Rails

(gil 50x67")
The Farm

(jay 51x71")
I'd never thought of doing grey
in a kids quilt, but alternating pinks
with grey turned out fine.

(jef 57x69")
Pinwheels I've always liked the look of pinwheels.

(jen 48x70")
check out what some of these cats are doing

(lor 48x60")
4" squares using kids fabrics

(mel 50x69")
stacked coins - a perfect stash buster
alternating with a light pink

(rob 51x71")
I found this wonderful idea
